We typically begin to see improvement within the first week and often by day 3! When it comes to teaching your child how to fall into a routine and to self soothe, consistency is absolute key! The better we are able to keep consistent, the faster the child will learn.
There are a few methods and tools under my belt that range from very gentle techniques to more direct techniques (commonly referred to as extinction/cry-it-out). Absolutely. Not only does helping your child sleep improve their cognition, ability to learn, focus, behavior, immunity, and other developmental functions, it also allows you to have adequate sleep! Sleep is such an integral part of life and health, so give it the attention it needs.
I recommend a framework for sleep scheduling that sets your family and child up for success. I understand sometimes this isn't possible, and I will work around that to come up with a customized sleep plan that is most realistic to follow through with. The goal is to achieve what we need to in the shortest amount of time with as minimal tears as possible! My priority is to make sure your concerns are met with realistic solutions that we can both come to an agreement to.
It depends. Some methods are more involved than others, and it also depends on the sleep habits of the individual child. I would book a 15 minute discovery call/visit to inquire about the possibility. Most parents find it generally easier to focus on one child at a time, unless we are dealing with twins! In the case of twins, we would sleep train them together.
